Hyundai Creta Tops Midsize SUV Sales in April 2025, Outpaces Scorpio and Grand Vitara

Top 10 Midsize SUVs April 2025: The Hyundai Creta continues to prove its dominance in the midsize SUV market, finishing April 2025 as the top-selling model in the segment—and the most sold passenger vehicle in India overall. Hyundai sold 17,016 units of the Creta last month, marking a healthy 10% growth over the same period last year. Even with increasing competition and new rivals entering the market, the Creta’s consistency is a testament to its wide appeal and strong brand trust among Indian buyers.

Securing the second position was Mahindra’s Scorpio range, which includes both the Classic and Scorpio-N variants. The Scorpio lineup posted sales of 15,534 units, reflecting a 5% increase year-on-year. The Scorpio continues to enjoy strong demand, especially in rural and semi-urban markets, maintaining its status as Mahindra’s best-selling vehicle month after month.

Coming in third, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara registered 7,154 units, which is a 6% decline compared to April 2024. While it remains a key player in the hybrid SUV space, its recent numbers suggest a slight slowdown in momentum.
